Brad Blumenthal

Brad prides his roots growing up in Skokie, IL, and going to Evanston Township High School in the 80’s, as the impetus to becoming a DJ and the businessman he is today. At the young age of 14, in 1981, he saved enough money from mowing neighbor’s lawns to purchase his first set of Technics SL-1200 direct drive professional DJ turntables. Like learning how to play a musical instrument, Brad taught himself to use the tables and make hot-mix cassette tapes for family and friends. Brad’s big break came at the age of 18, when he was invited to DJ at Chicago’s legendary members-only discotheque, “Faces Night Club” on Rush Street in 1985. It was at that moment Brad knew his calling! After achieving his Business Degree from The University of Illinois at Chicago in 1989, Brad started Energy Productions to help communities celebrate life’s celebrations and has never looked back. He was the first in the Chicago market to separate the microphone from the DJ, behind the tables, to an “MC” on the dance floor. Shortly thereafter he added dancers to the mix and created interactive entertainment, which is the standard for special events today. With almost four decades of five-star service, Brad and his team have produced 10,000+ celebrations and are still going strong as the leader in the industry.

JB

JB is the Entertainer’s ENTERTAINER! Born in Philadelphia with a mic in his hand, JB has been entertaining the world his entire life. From singing and acting to filmmaking, from live theater to dance floors, and from TV shows to online big box sponsored GIFS, JB doesn’t stop entertaining. After joining Energy Productions in 2003, JB has created the largest following in Energy’s history. With over 20 years and 1000’s of celebrations, JB is a household name when it comes to Mitzvahs. “Every opportunity given to host is truly the highest honor for me.” These are words JB lives by. His creativity, spontaneity, and years of experience on the mic will always deliver a fresh, unique performance your family and guests will rave about for years to come!

JB has appeared on Empire Seasons 1-3, Chicago P.D. Seasons 2 & 6 and BET’s Murder in the First Episode 11.

Josh

This is the guy YOU WANT ON YOUR TEAM! Josh came to Energy Productions in 2003 with a special skill set that unknowingly catapulted his MC career… a sports coach. Monday through Friday, for 22 years, Josh was the director of a coaching organization that brought youth sports programs to local park districts and schools. His connection with kids and families on the field easily translated to celebrating with them on the dance floor. Josh believes, “there’s no difference between coaching sports or MCing Mitzvahs. Whether it’s my whistle or my mic, I lead and inspire people to win.” His winning record is proven as he now has over 20 years of consistent home-run events with Energy. Families cheer to have Coach Josh celebrate with them!

Nick

Eight million views on TikTok says it all… Nick is a BLAST! Noted as the prodigy child at Energy, Nick has been our youngest MC who has built his following the quickest in the shortest period of time. He started as an Energy Dancer in 2018, and within four months families demanded Nick to MC their Mitzvahs. Nick’s love for performing started at age five and hasn’t let up as he’s grown up. Nick has appeared on Chicago Med and multiple national commercials and has performed as a solo artist at the House of Blues, Wrigley Field, and Allstate Arena. His most legendary performance was with Pink Floyd in a packed stadium of over 30,000 fans. Nick’s style, fashion, and unique hair are smaller attributes compared to the enormous heart and love he brings to your family and guests on the dance floor.

Isiah

He could be called the hardest working MC in show business! Isiah and his brother, Jay, came to Energy in 2021 with a history of making music, developing choreography, and improv comedy- a triple threat to some. His trilogy of arts propelled his ability to read a room, take control, and engage any audience for the perfect celebration. Both kids and adults alike love his dynamic personality and gravitate to his entertaining and endless energy. Although he’s newer to the roster, “he ain’t no rookie!”

Amadea (MODZ)

As Energy’s star female MC, MODZ captivates her audience with her absolute love and joy for what she does. As our highly proficient office manager, she will not only have her fingerprint on the excellent planning of your event, but she can also be there on the mic to bring it alive. Her infectious energetic nature immediately lights up any room which will engage your guests of all ages for the perfect celebration. She believes her long history of competitive dance and stage performances are her biggest assets when on the mic. To say MODZ puts her heart and soul into your event is an understatement!
